ZOOLOGY

Department of Zoology offers choice of electives in Paper 3 at S.Y.B.Sc. level. Every year, students of S.Y.B.Sc. class decides which elective component they want to study. Experts from biological fields are invited to give talk to the students. An intradepartmental event Fish O Fest is arranged since last two years. It is a sea food cooking competition which involves application of techniques they learn in applied component (Fishery Biology). Department arranges one long excursion and one short excursion for the students for on field experience of what they learn in class. Many nature trails, bird watching sessions and flora & fauna observation treks are also arranged. Market visits to local fish markets to assess the quantitative & qualitative sea food availability.

Short Biography: I am interested in exploring science and apply it into and improve the quality of day to day life. I am here to help young minds to do so.

Dr. Sushant J. Mane

Short Biography: It is to bring my sense of dedication towards the Zoology subject.
The research experiences, qualification, knowledge and skills which I have gained throughout my professional tenure will always be available to my learners.
Keeping the interest alive in the learners is an uphill task.
I would like to encourage the learners to focus on challenging issues related to the subject and try to acknowledge it in very persistent manner.

I wake up each day and I have the opportunity to help inspire so many young minds.
