Guest lectures are organised on various literary themes. Eminent Marathi writers and poets are invited to give talks in the Marathi Wangmaya Mandal programmes. Screenings of Marathi drama and films are followed by discussions and interactions with resource persons. Altekar Essay Competition and Altekar Memorial Debate Competition are other activities. Marathi Wangmaya Mandal also organises many literary competitions.

Guest lectures of authours, playwrights and eminent personalities are organised, sometimes with students of other colleges.
Students take part in activities of the Asiatic Society of Mumbai, K R Cama Oriental Institute and at the University department of Philosophy.
