We are fully convinced that we offer a comprehensive and thought-provoking syllabus, being active members of syllabus-setting committees, integrating foundational papers with the optional and applied papers.

Through interactive teaching methodology involving film, music, photojournalism, poetry writing, digital media, seminar and presentations, we attempt to expose students to varied experiences and cultures, sensitizing their understanding and appreciation of society and the environment. We seek to develop, through the teaching of Language and Literature, critical thinking and an ability to communicate effectively.

career-oriented T.Y.B.A. papers of Popular Culture and Film & Literature prepare students for jobs in Film, Advertising and the New Digital Media.

The Master class series, started over 8 years ago in collaboration with K.C. College and PNP College, offers students the opportunity to interact with experts from the advertising and film industry as also from Journalism and academia in order to learn from their expertise.

B.A. & M.A. in English Language and Literature with specialization in Advanced Accounting, M.Phil in English Language Teaching, PhD in Gender, Film and Culture Studies, S.E.T. in English.

Research Interest: Critical Theory, Gender, Media, Film and Culture Studies.
Short Biography: Being a keen observer and commentator of social and cultural phenomenon, Dr Philip encourages students to read extensively, think critically and engage in deliberations in order to make the subject relevant to real-life experiences.

Short Biography: To make the learning experience in the classroom and on campus relevant, useful and valued added for the students.
While covering the prescribed syllabi within the stipulated time frame, I enjoy introducing students to the pleasures of reading and analysis, and encouraging them to express themselves creatively.
I attempt to integrate interesting and innovative teaching- learning techniques in the class room, while mentoring and building rapport through co and extracurricular activities.

VERONICA BHONSLE

Research Interest: Gender studies, Literary Critical Theory ,Indian English Literature, Film studies, Business Communication and Communication Skills.
Short Biography:I have completed my education from the University of Mumbai as well as SNDT University Mumbai and started my teaching career in 1996. My experience as a teacher over the years has enabled me to identify the needs of students in the constant changing teaching-learning environment .This has motivated me to adopt innovative and interesting teaching methodology which includes interactive sessions, extra- curricular activities and extensive use of media. As a teacher who also has to take on the role of a mentor and guide I believe in encouraging students to find their own path with adequate stimulus where required and necessary .This I believe and hope will empower them to handle challenges rationally and contribute to their overall development.
